New New Orleans Style Brunch, New Korean Power Lunch, & More NYC Restaurant News! On Deck 4/2

So much NYC Restaurant news this week! Here are the highlights of what you need to be eating this April! This is part of this week’s new episode of the “Let Me Tell You Why” podcast, which you can listen to in full below.
Strange Delight
Strange Delight, the seafood restaurant in Fort Greene is launching their first ever brunch menu, taking inspiration from New Orleans! Standouts include a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, watercress and pepper jelly, all on a house made honey butter roll, a salt and sweet jalapeno cornbread, seafood tower, a fry basket, and a muffuletta sandwich with ham, salami, mortadella, provolone, and a spicy olive relish, all on a housemade sesame bread.

Sama ‘Za
Sama ‘Za is a new pizza and cocktail spot opening in Hells Kitchen from the team behind Monkey Thief! Its supposed to feel like a classic nyc pizza joint, but will have pies all made with a 72 hour fermented dough, with lots of fun toppings! Think a Saved by the Shell that is their version of a New Haven Clam Pie, or Corn to Be Wild which is inspired my Mexican street corn. The drinks menu is super playful a well, think a TMNT negroni with parmesan washed tomato water.

Fat Ronnie’s Burger Bar
Fat Ronnie’s Burger Bar is the cult favorite from Martha’s Vineyard, and now opening in the West Village. Tons of burgers and sandwiches on the menu, the Fat Ronnie is a black angus beef burger with American cheese, they have turkey burgers, veggies burgers, and chicken sandwiches too!

Patsy’s Pizzeria
Patsy’s Pizzeria, the iconic original coal oven pizzeria is now open at the Freehand New York! Classics are all here, super thin pizza, pastas, and more!

Gui Steakhouse
Gui Steakhouse, the incredible Korean steakhouse from Michelin starred chef Sungchul Shim, is launching a brand new lunch menu! Sotbap are Korean rice bowls cooked to order, and this will be the the main dish you want to get for lunch, they will be offered with salmon, prime galbi, hamburg steak, black pepper steak, wagyu kimchi fried rice, and more. They will also have a 3 course express lunch for $48 per person, and an a la carte menu that will have a tonkatsu, a mushroom risotto, and a steakhouse banh mi with a side of pho jus for dipping.

The Comet Club
Chef Jesse Schenker has a brand new restaurant, The Comet Club, which opens April 13th in Westbury NY. Highlights from the menu will include a garlic bread made with a housemade sourdough focaccia with confit garlic, stracciatella, and parm, a Prime Ribeye French Dip, and Dry Aged Duck Al Pastor fajitas!
