So much NYC Restaurant news this week! Here are the highlights of what you need to be eating this summer! This is part of this week’s new episode of the “Let Me Tell You Why” podcast, which you can listen to in full below, which has me talking about my 39th birthday and wondering if I’m currently going through my midlife crisis with my newest obsession…
Mesiba
Mesiba at the Moxy Williamsburg has a menu reset just in time for the summer. Some of the new additions include a vegan matzo ball soup, a wagyu burger with harissa mayo, lemon chicken, and a new interactive tableside hummus cart.

Ritos
Ritos is a new breakfast burrito concept in the LES serving Cali style breakfast burritos! They have 4 on the menu, a classic with bacon or chorizo, a veggie with grilled veggies, and a California swaps out the hash browns that are in the previous two, for french fries! They will also all come with a homemade hot sauce.

Street Blends
Street Blends, opening soon on Mott St in NoHo, will be the first caffeine shop in nyc. They want to be a modern drink space for every kind of caffeine drinker, coffee, and more.

Birdee Botequim
Birdee bakery, is now becoming Birdee Botequim after hours, as they will now be open Fri-Sun from 5-9pm as a wine bar! The wines and food will have some Brazilian flair from Chef Renata Ameni with dishes like a the pao de queijo which is a Brazilian cheese bread with a green garlic butter, steak frites, and hotchy doggy, a beef weiner with cheese and mashed potatoes.

Piccolo Morini
Altamarea is opening a brand new restaurant in SoHo, Piccolo Morini. Expect the same incredible Italian dishes served in a space that “blends vintage Italian charm with contemporary energy.” Highlights from the menu include mascarpone stuffed cappelletti with truffles and prosciutto, gramigna with sausage ragu, and a martini focused bar program.

Black Tap
Black Tap is launching brand new Crazy Sundaes (with a registered trademark because sure) which takes their shakes, and turns them into sundaes! There will be three on the menu, a churro hot fudge, a cherry bomb, and a strawberry glazed.

The Addison
The Addison is opening up right near MSG as a elevated sports bar with a selection of cocktails and light bites. Bites include oysters, dry aged sliders, onion rings, a prime rib sandwich, and so much more.
