Everything to Eat at a Knicks Playoff Game at MSG

We're BACK at The Mecca, Madison Square Garden, baby! Home of the Knicks, the Rangers, and some of the greatest moments in sports and entertainment history. And today we're breaking down EVERY. SINGLE. FOOD. OPTION. inside the World's Most Famous Arena, which felt appropriate as the NBA playoffs are about to kick off. I've eaten my way through as much of it as I can, and researched the rest, but heads up, vendors can change depending on the event, so not everything is guaranteed to be there every time. Oh, and if you've got access to the Delta Lounge? Free snacks, free soda, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, and a rotating lineup of arena vendors! If I missed anything, drop it in the comments!

WHAT I’VE EATEN

Avenue Cantina (sec 112)- They have a bunch of different tacos you can get with different proteins, I went with the carnitas tacos with huge pieces of chicharron sticking out! Really juicy, and really crunchy.

Avenue Cantina

Daily Burger (sec 106, 116, 210, 305)- From Chef Drew Nieporent, this is a must every time I’m here! On what they call a flatbread bun, I’d call it a Portuguese roll, they have a thick burger patty made with a blend of brisket, short rib, and chuck, and that comes oozing with a cheddar ale cheese sauce, along with a bacon onion jam! I’m always impressed with how soft that bun is, and how well the burger is cooked.

Daily Burger

Fuku (sec 119)- David Chang’s fast casual fried chicken doesn’t hold back on the heat with their spicy fried chicken sando, fuku fingers, and fries! I got the sando which comes on this nice soft potato bun, has huge crispy piece of fired habanero brined chicken in it, and it legit brings the heat with the sauce!

Fuku

Mighty Quinn’s BBQ (sec 105 & 204)- The NYC local BBQ chain is here, and I went with the burnt end sandwich with a pickled veggie slaw on top. Really tender meat, and loved how the acidity in the slaw balanced out all that meat and fat.

Mighty Quinn’s BBQ

Mike’s Hot Honey (sec 115)- Hot Honey on everything here as they have chicken tenders, a fried chicken sandwich, garlic wings, and buffalo wings! I got the combo box with tenders, and fries.

Mike’s Hot Honey

Paulie Gees Pizza (sec 116)- They have a bunch of thin NYC style slices available, I went with their Hellboy that has pepperoni, and the addition of Mikes Hot Honey for that perfect sweet, heat, so cheesy and savory bite.

Paulie Gees Pizza

Pat Lafrieda (various)- Probably the most popular item at the garden they have a prime rib sandwich on a toasted baguette that comes with a side of au jus, and a number of toppings. If you cant decide and want it all, go for the Fully Loaded which adds on frizzled onions, mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions and sautéed wild mushrooms. The meat was really tender, so cheesy, and that crunch felt great! I understand why people adore this sandwich.

Pat Lafrieda

Top Dog (sec 112)- All things hot dogs here, but I couldn’t not get their giant 5lbs hot dog which comes in a giant box and is topped with shaved beef, peppers and onions, a sriracha cheddar, and onion strings! For $36, if you are in a group, this is probably the best deal in the arena.

Top Dog

Veselka (various) - The NYC institution has their classic fried potato pierogies! Grab a plate, dip into sour cream, and get a true taste of the city.

Veselka

EVERYTHING ELSE

Arancini Brothers (sec 210)- Arancini balls are the bite sized fried risotto balls filled with all different types of ingredients.

Baked By Melissa (sec 118)- Everyone’s favorite bite sized cupcakes, and desserts.

Carnegie Deli (sec 105, 106, & 119)- The classic NYC deli has their iconic pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, knishes, cheesecake bites, as well as black and white cookies.

carnegie deli

Fretelli’s Deli (sec 118 & 319)- They have a number of different Italian sandwiches.

Gluten Free at the Garden (sec 112)- For the GF community, you can find sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and hot dogs.

Impossible Grill- The alternative meat brand just opened a stand that has an impossible double stack smashburger, impossible banh mi hot dog, and an orange impossible chicken bowl.

Lavo (sec 112)- Tao’s Italian concept, they have their classic meatballs, and an Italian cheesesteak.

Monster Energy Bodega (various)- They have bodega style food, including the nyc classic chopped cheese.

Rock N’ Lobster (club level)- They have lobster and shrimp rolls, along with Old Bay chips.

Tao Sushi (sec 118)- A number of different poke bowls and sushi rolls are available.
