Valentine's Day Bagel, New Noodle Bar, and More NYC Restaurant News! On Deck 2/13

So much NYC Restaurant news this week! Here are the highlights of what you need to be eating this February!



H&H Bagels

For Valentines day, but it will be on the menu until February 21, H and H is bringing back their chocolate covered strawberry cream cheese! Its sweet strawberries, and rich chocolate, all in one!

Kidilum

Kidilum is a new South Indian restaurant opening at the end of the month! Highlights of the menu include iracchi pathiri, which is a beef pepper fry with fried rice cake, their nandu curry, which has stir fried crab meat, and a pork vindaloo with braised pork belly in coconut vinegar, chili, and sweet spices!


Apertivo by Carta

From the team behind Carta Wine Bar, comes Apertivo by Carta which is their new coffee shop/ all day cafe, which transforms into a wine and raw bar at night! Think pastries and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, salads and sandwiches for lunch, and alongside the raw bar for dinner you can find lobster mac n cheese, braised short rib, and a whole roasted branzino.

Dejavu and Caviar Bar

Dejavu and Caviar Bar is the new all day European inspired cafe all day, jazz led supper club at night! There are three different rooms for three different vibes. You have the Emerald room which has their front bar, the Golden Room which is for intimate candlelit dinners, and the Red Room is their speakeasy which will host private tasting menus, and burlesque performances Thurs-Sunday. The menu is a mix of Modern Turkish, Italian, and more Mediterranean inspired dishes.

Nounou

Nounou is a new noodle spot which just opened in the East Village which is doing both broth and dry noodles! Some of the standouts include their pongteh pork which is a braised five spice pork belly with knife cut noodles, book choy, and a soy marinated egg, and a laksa shrimp which is a spiced coconut curry with shrimp, egg noodles, tofu, eggplant, fried onions, and Vietnamese coriander.
