The Best Tokyo Pizza Has Arrived in NYC!

I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in Tokyo, and I’ve said it over and over: not only is it an elite pizza city, but my favorite spot has to be Seirinkan. Tokyo‑style pizza, if you’re not familiar, is their spin on Neapolitan, wood‑fired, super chewy, and unmistakably Tokyo thanks to the extra olive oil and that big hit of salt. Some spots also add a twist to the crust, and you can find some really interesting flavor combinations, it is Japan after all. But Seirinkan keeps it simple with just three pies: margherita, marinara, and fuji white. When I found out Seirinkan was popping up in NYC for five nights only at Sake No Hana, I was absolutely psyched, and had to get in there.
It was everything I love about Tokyo style, its chewy, its salty, its soaked in olive oil, the cheese, that sauce, everything just so good. Is it exactly the same as in Japan, it has been a few years, but i feel like it wasn’t quite there. So much of the The magic of any pizza is the oven its cooked in, and its impossible to bring that here, but if you just want a taste, get you prepared for what you could experience in Tokyo, yes get here now. But absolutely you still have to go in Japan.
